Granted Players

What is a Granted Player?

Granted Players are players in the league that have been chosen by their Captain to be granted a modded alias in order to assist their squad with practices and scrimmages against other squads. These players may be removed at any time if the captain chooses; or they may lose their powers by using a command that is outside of the approved command set for Granted Players.

All Granted Players must create an alias based on their current SL alias. The syntax is: Alias [GP]. (Example: Armor [GP]).

How many Granted Players can your squad have?

Granted Players are being implemented into Skirmish League for one reason: to help squads practice. Some squads do not have staff representatives to log on and unspec players for them, and are forced into situations where they not only have to rely on each other to come online and practice, but to also rely on a modded staff member to come to their arena to assist with commands. With that being said, here is the breakdown of the number of Granted Players per squad:
Squads with 3 or MORE Staff Members will receive ZERO Granted Players.
Squads with 2 Staff Members will receive ONE Granted Player.
Squads with 0-1 Staff Members will receive TWO Granted Players.

Granted Player Rules

You've been chosen by your captain to be a Granted Player for your team. What are you allowed to do with this newfound, glorious power?

  • Your [GP] Alias is only allowed in private arenas. This means that as soon as you enter the zone, you should be typing to enter your private arena.
  • Only use the commands listed in the Approved Command List located below.
  • Do not use any commands in public arenas. This should not be a problem for you as you are not allowed to be in those arenas in the first place, right?
  • Do not enter a private scrimmage arena with a GP alias unless you have the consent of the captains from both teams. Please be respectful of other squads.
  • Do not enter arenas where a scrimmage/squad battle is not taking place without permission from at least one player in the arena.
  • Do not abuse your [GP] powers to find and/or release any private arena names. This is considered blatant abuse, and will be dealt with as listed below.
  • You are not allowed to use your [GP] alias to use excessive chat bongs, or to spam other players.
  • When using * to chat; Place a space between the * and your message so that it is not recorded in the command history (Note: "* hey" not "*hey").
  • Note the last thing that I said. There is a COMMAND HISTORY. Every command that you use is saved onto the server for us to view later. This will be heavily moderated given the past failures of similar programs in Skirmish League. Please behave yourselves.

Approved Commands List

The following commands are the ONLY approved commands that Granted Players are allowed to use. Anything beyond this list will result in a loss of power.
  • THREE instances of abuse from ONE squad will result in the ENTIRE SQUAD losing their Granted Player priveleges.
  • Larger cases of abuse (as determined by Head Staff) may result in a ban from the league.
I have asked that Captains choose their Granted Players WISELY, and that players chosen use their commands WISELY and RESPECTIVELY.

*teamname 1,2 - This command is practically obsolete as every squad has a built in titan and collective side after the season starts in order to have uniforms (Syntax: Squad Name - T or Squad Name - C). Names that you use must be proper. Use your manners.
*unspec - Examples: :Armor:*unspec will unspec Armor to the team with the least amount of players; :Armor:*unspec Wardogs - T will unspec him to Wardog's Titan side.
*spec - Example: :Armor:*spec will send Armor to spectator mode.
*spec all - Sends ALL players to spectator mode. It is wise that you DO NOT assign this as a macro. It can ruin a scrimmage.
*team - Example: :Armor:*team The Alliance - C will move Armor from whatever team he is on, to The Alliance - C -- If this is done to a place in spectator mode, he will move to that team, but remain in spectator mode.
*specquiet - Restricts spectators to team chat only.
*endgame - Ends an active game.
*restart - Restarts the game. *watchmod - Enables/Disables personal viewing of mod commands. This is a toggle command; you type it just how it is listed here.
*goto - Specify an exact location on the map (you can view these by clicking Options -> Grapic Options -> and setting Coordinate Display to Both or Exact in-game. Type the exact coordinate to warp there. (Example: *goto 230,230)
*summon - Sent as a private message (/*summon or :Armor:*summon), this command will summon the targeted player to your location.
*warp - Sent as a private message (/*warp or :Armor:*warp), this command will warp you to the targeted player.
*timer - Specify a time after this command. Example: *timer 1:30 will put 1 minute, 30 seconds on the timer. *timer 15 will put 15 minutes on the timer.
*arena [message] - Use this to send a message to the arena. Put a ~ @ # $ % ^ or & in front of it to use different colors.
*lock - Use this message to lock the arena so players in spec cannot use F12 to unspec.
